I redirected my site's feed to FeedBurner for a while and GoogleReader had no problem with it. As for smoking, you do have the choice not to go places where smoking is allowed. I'm about as much of an unfan of smoking as you are, but most places I go to nowadays already ban smoking, or if not it's confined to a smoking section. I guess your main problem is with bars and clubs, which unfortunately it looks like this law won't affect. That’s weird about the RSS..
