Wii…seriously?

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

I’m not so sure I like the new name for the Revolution. I mean, I get the idea behind it, and it’s not a bad marketing idea. But Wii (pronounced “we”)? I’m gonna go ahead and guess everyone will still call it Revolution. That was a good name.

They released info on the media too. It’s gonna use 12cm discs loaded via a slot rather than a tray (a good move I think…very Apple’esque), and it will still take the old Gamecube discs.

I saw this totally awesome sign at a rest stop today:

The question is, did I break the law? hmmm…

Some cool stuff

Thursday, April 20th, 2006

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. I’m actually pretty busy with stuff at work, so I have less time to do random crap on the internet at work, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Anyway, I’ve made a totally sweet AJAX interface to iTunes that I’m going to demo at a talk I’m giving on AJAX next week. Pretty hot stuff, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to show it on the intarweb or not. We’ll see.

Also, IP Phones are totally freakin’ sweet. Cam’s setup a PBX for us to use. If you’re cool enough to get a phone and get on our network, then gimme a call at 203.

I’ll let ya know what I do with the phone. It can do cool stuff with XML and such. So you can control Winamp or iTunes or whatever with it if you so desire. With an amazing speaker phone, freenocity, and a crazy amount of customization options who wouldn’t want one!?

Telephony is t eh r0x0r!
