IM Chaos is stupid as crap

Wednesday, December 22nd, 2004

The best part of looking at someone elses IM Chaos admin thingy is the part at the top that says, “Note: This is a special page only seen by you. Your profile visitors go directly to the site you have chosen.”

President Bush would probably call that an “ironical misunderestimation.”

Bizarre

I had a really strange dream last night. Two guys I went to high school with, Greg Hardy and Michael Rabold, were in it…I’m not sure why since I haven’t seen them in a long time…

Anyway, so I was at a baseball game somewhere and all of a sudden I got SARS, so I went to the doctor that was at the stadium and he told me to walk it off. I went over to the water fountain and Greg came up and was like, “That looks like it hurts.” Then his dad drove up in a green car. So I walked back towards the stadium, because naturally the water fountain wasn’t near it, and Michael was sitting in a chair holding a rope that was hanging from the ceiling. He had to pull on the rope everytime Linkin Park finished playing a song because their usual guy wasn’t there to do it…

…so I wonder what part of my subconcious that all came from…

The release date was announced today for the next Harry Potter book. It will be released July 16th and I can’t wait. I hope it’s as good as the first five books…because if it’s not *shakes fist at J.K. Rowling*…

There was also an article comparing wireless usage in the US to other countries. In Hong Kong there are 105.75 mobile subscribers for every 100 inhabitants. In Taiwan, there are 110. That means that a lot of people have two and three cell phones. What could they possibly do with that many phones?

Julie Berry from Survivor is dating Jeff Probst now…what a lucky, lucky man…

I watched The Breakfast Club the other day cause I’d never seen it…not sure how I missed that one.

oh no!! Not Suprnova

Sunday, December 19th, 2004

Suprnova has finally gone for good. It was certainly the best thing to happen to the internet in a long while. I hope the corporations are happy for trying to destroy BitTorrent…a tool that could have been adopted for their use…but instead, they try to just squash anything that’s new and different. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what comes next and hope that the corporations will see that this won’t help them at all in the long run.

I totally forgot I had a link to this article. It’s particularly relevant given this unfortunate turn of events and what appears to be the beginnings of the onslaught against Bit Torrent.

I also have an idea that I think might enable Bit Torrent to survive basically the way it has been and also lets the people who are attacking everyone and their dogs for copyright violation stuff to protect their content. If anyone important who would like to pay me lots of money / bring me on for the project and pay me lots of money is out there and would like to hear my idea, please email me and we can get together for you to pay me lots of money and I can explain my idea…but it probably needs some tweaking obviously since I thought of it in the shower earlier this morning and couldn’t perfect the idea…in the shower.

I also have an idea for a book I could write…if anyone knows how one goes about getting books published, let me know.

^ amazing song

…anyway. I went to Manhattan on Saturday for the day — mainly to see the huge Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and because I’ve never been to New York at Christmastime and have always wanted to. So I went. There were a hojillion people on 5th Ave. though. There were actually lines to get into some of the stores like Saks, Tiffany, and F.A.O. Schwartz. Crazy pants. I also wanted to go to see the lobby of the Plaza Hotel, but it’s only open for visitors who aren’t actually staying there from like 8-11AM and 8-11PM…and I was there exactly in between those hours. Maybe next time.

So Chris won Survivor…which is better than Twila, however, I would have liked Eliza to have gotten to the final two instead.

12 more days until Christmas

Kill me now

North Carolina drivers are retarded. If you drive anywhere during remotely heavy traffic…it will stop inexplicably almost every time.

All of them are like, “Hey Jimmy, look at that thur…it’s one a dem poe-leese mens stopped thur on the side o the road not doing anything all all to inhibit the flow of traffic. I reckon we oughts ta should slow er down and have a gander at that thur poe-leese.”

Why people feel compelled to slow down from 70 miles an hour to 25 when they see lights flashing on the side of the road will never cease to amaze me. I think they need to add a feature to cars that can detect when you slow down drastically for no reason at all and then those cars will automatically pull over to the side of the road and catch on fire. Then some big guy will come and punch you in the face.
